Amneet Kaur, a distant relative of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has filed a case against her in-laws for allegedly throwing her and her six-month-old baby girl out of the house for not bringing enough dowry.

Confirming the registration of the case, SSP Gautam Cheema said Amneet Kaur's husband Inderveer Singh, father-in-law Avtar Singh, mother-in-law Baljinder Kaur and sister-in-law Jaspreet Kaur had been booked.

The SSP said after conducting preliminary investigation into the allegation levelled by Amneet her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law were arrested. However, her sister-in-law was yet to be arrested.

Her in-laws were produced before the duty magistrate, who sent them on one-day police remand.

The police raided Amneet in-laws house in Ludhiana and recovered a few dowry-related items from there, the SSP claimed.

Amneet Kaur, a resident of Khanna, had got married to Inderveer Singh, a resident of Krishan Nagar in Ludhiana, on January 2006. In her complaint she alleged that soon after marriage, her in-laws started harassing her for more dowry. In the meantime she got pregnant and her parents brought her to Khanna, where she gave birth to the baby girl in January.

In her complaint Amneet stated that when nobody from her in-laws side came to see the new-born, she revealed to her parents that she was being harassed by in-laws for bringing more dowry. She stated that when two of their relatives went to resolve the issue with her in-laws, they refused to accept her till her father paid the dowry worth Rs 2 lakh.

Her father decided to pay the money and requested her in-laws to accept her, which they did. She stated that her father gave Rs 30,000 to her in-laws and promised to pay rest of the amount in a few days.

However, when her father could not arrange the money, her in-laws forced her to leave the house at midnight. She somehow reached her grandparents' house in Ludhiana, from there her parents brought her to Khanna, where she lodged the complaint.

Meanwhile, the SSP stated that the matter was being further investigated.

CHANDIGARH: With a growing army of wannabe `husbands' looking for brides, Haryana, cursed with a very poor sex ratio, seems to have become their favourite haunt.

While those who can afford to look beyond the state are purchasing brides from as far off as Assam and Chattisgarh, the more unfortunate ones are falling victims to loot-and-scoot brides. In Fatehabad district alone at least a dozen such incidents have been reported, indicating how Haryanvi men are becoming victims of organized gangs that provide `wives'.

The latest incident is that of Prem Kumar, in mid-thirties, a resident of Lehriya village in Fatehabad, who was finding it difficult to marry. . Two people met Prem Kumar and offered him a marriage proposal. Sources revealed they took Rs 25,000 from him and arranged a fmarriage for him on August 25. A happy Kumar decided to hold a reception and invited his friend and relatives. But on the midnight of September 4, his wife did a vanishing act with valuables worth Rs 25,000.

Men in their mid-thirties are increasingly being targeted by such gangs. Ironically, many times the victims do not even lodge a complaint as was the case with Kumar.

Though Fatehabad SP Saurabh Singh told TOI that he would inquire into the matter, Kumar's family is still trying at its own level to get back the bride. Of course, they may not be known that there are many Kumars all around. According to sources, the gangs are bringing girls from places like West Bengal, Nepal and Bihar to Haryana.

``Jagmati Sangwan, president of Haryana unit of the All India Democratic Women Association said, ``The problem could be solved only with awareness among people about saving the girl child.''

NEW DELHI: For long, voices raised against the anti-dowry act were dismissed as those belonging to men desperately trying to retain their dominance over women. But now, an increasing number of women complaining against misuse of the act has forced the women and child development (WCD) ministry to initiate a review of the controversial legislation.

Said WCD joint secretary, Kiran Chadha, "We will be meeting a panel of lawyers and legal experts to review the law. We have been receiving so many complaints against the two laws — section 498A (harassment for dowry) and the domestic violence act.'' The meeting is likely to be held on September 17.

The Indian Penal Code's section 498A had long been seen by women activists as one of the foremost legal weapons for a woman shunned by her in-laws and her parents.

The government's turnaround comes after an increasing number of complaints came from women themselves — mothers-in-law and sisters-in-law who ironically have fallen victim to the misuse of the two laws.

The statistics are telling. Raksha, an NGO working on marital harmony and child welfare, has analysed figures by the National Crime Records Bureau to deduce that 1.2 lakh women have been falsely implicated under 498A.

''Every 21 minutes, an innocent woman is being arrested. While the number of arrests under 498A are increasing every year, what is not being considered is that the conviction rate in these cases is barely 2%,'' Anupama Singh, Raksha spokesperson said.

Now, the official view has perhaps finally reflected a change in attitude towards a woman complainant.

Bhagalpur: In a classic case of misuse of atrocity laws, a woman has named three minors as the ones who attempted to murder her as she failed to bring enough dowry.

In her complaint case in a local court, Dolly Devi, wife of Nawal Kishore Paswan of Gopalpur locality under the Industrial Area police station, alleged her in-laws were causing hurt and harassment to her for dowry. She named father-in-law Kailash Paswan, mother-in-law Manorama Devi, sisters-in-law Rekha Kumari, Ruby and Sulekha and brother-in-law Om.

While Ruby is 10 years old, Sulekha is 12 years old. Om is 14. Interestingly, Dolly did not name her husband as the accused.

The court transferred the complaint to police for suitable action. And the police lodged a case under Sections 498A (cruelty against women), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 307 (attempt to murder) and 379 (theft) of IPC besides Section 34 (demand of dowry) of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

As the cops started looking for Dolly's "tormentors", the accused, including the minors, moved the court of district judge. They were granted anticipatory bail on Thursday. Legal eagles have questioned the police wisdom behind lodging such a case. "It's an example of gross misuse of legal provisions," said Ajay Kumar Sinha, a legal expert and social activist. According to him, courts are also aware of the misuse of laws through such cases.

Another lawyer Rajesh Kumar Singh said such misuse sometimes adversely affects genuine cases. "Police should have applied mind before instituting Dolly's case," he said. Police officials, preferring anonymity, said the case was instituted on the basis of the complaint filed in the court. "During investigation and supervision, names of minors would be removed," a police official said.

She seems desperate to arrest the hubby and his parents !!

Question Title : appeals and review u/s 498A.

I filed a FIR u/s 498A ,406,34, 313 and 3 & 4 of Anti Dowry Act against my husband and father-in-law at Kolkata in March last year. But as my husband belongs to Assam , they filed a bail petition at Gauhati high court, which was rejected and asked them to surrender at Kolkata .

But they filed a bail petition at Kolkata Highcourt ,which was rejected . But they escape arrest warant for the last one year due to looseness of police.

Now after police file a charge sheet in the court of CJM , they surrender in the court and immediately get the bail without put in to custody.

Now wheather I am able to file a review petition against the granting of bail or to appeal in the Kolkata high court against the granting of bail order ? Please clearify & help me .

Hyderabad, September 03: Non-bailable warrants have been issued against a software engineer couple hailing from the city, presently residing in the US, by a local court in the city. The woman allegedly cheated her husband by marrying again without obtaining a divorce.

According to the police, the woman Vijaya Lakshmi, was married to one Venkata Krishna in October 2000. Ten days after marriage, Vijaya Lakshmi left for the US. Due to some Vijaya Lakshmi applied for a divorce in June 2001 but the petition was dismissed by a court.

Without obtaining the divorce, Vijaya Lakshmi reportedly got married to N Prabhakar Rao, also a software engineer in the US, in 2002.

Venkata Krishna filed a case against Vijaya Lakshmi, Prabhakar Rao and his father-in-law Krishna Rao alleging that they had spoilt his life and also sought maintenance, Chandanagar police sub-inspector B Anji Reddy said.

A court issued a NBW two months back to the trio but they managed to get a stay order from a higher court which asked the police not to effect the arrest without filing a charge-sheet and conducting proper investigation.

Meanwhile, Venkata Krishna gathered enough evidence to show that his wife married another person without divorcing him. "There are property documents belonging to Vijaya Lakshmi which were mortgaged in the US. In those documents, Vijaya Lakshmi identified herself as wife of Prabhakar Rao," Anji Reddy said.

Similarly, Vijaya Lakshmi also purchased land in Khammam where she identified herself as the wife of Prabhakar Rao, the SI said.

Considering these documents, a local court issued a NBW against the three yesterday. The NBW was executed today and Krishna Rao was arrested from Khammam and produced before the court.

"We have to complete formalities to bring the couple back to the country to execute the NBW. It may take sometime but they will be recalled through proper channel and arrested," Anji Reddy said.

Pune, August 12 A pregnant woman who had filed a case against her 'missing' husband and in-laws under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, will now get Rs 1,500 as monthly maintenance from her in-laws. The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Khadki, passed an interim order last month after acknowledging that she didn't have any other independent source of income.

Twenty-year old Malini (name changed) is eight months pregnant but her meagre salary cannot support her medical expenses; her in-laws don't want to keep her either. Her husband Vishnu (name changed) vanished a month ago but she suspects that his parents have sent him away to their native village to prevent the couple from meeting.

Malini's mother Nirmala Gaikwad, who works as a nursemaid, does not earn enough to support her family and is worried about her daughter's medical expenses. "Owing to our poverty, I got her married to someone else but Vishnu continued to visit her often. He promised to marry her and they had an affair. When her husband learnt of their relationship, he told her to leave the house," said Gaikwad.

Advocate Asuntha Pardhe and Vaibhav Mogane, who are representing Malini, said that her first marriage was null and void as she was a minor then and it was her husband's second marriage. Malini discovered this February that she was pregnant.

She and Vishnu were married in April in Gaikwad's presence and Vishnu moved in with the Gaikwads. However, he left the house around a month back and did not return.

"Malini visited her in-laws for information on his whereabouts but was thrown out of the house. Her in-laws also threatened to kill her if she came back," said Gaikwad.

Her in-laws reportedly visited her house a couple of times in May and assaulted her grandfather. Petrified and yet desperate to find her husband, Malini first filed a 'missing persons' complaint and then an application under the DV Act, seeking a monthly maintenance of Rs 2,000 and praying for an injunction restraining the in-laws from committing acts of domestic violence.

Her in-laws opposed the application and denied any kind of relationship with her, refuting her marriage to Vishnu. Their legal counsel submitted that "she had had stayed with Vishnu but never with her in-laws and, hence, she does not come under the relationship of domestic relation". Malini's lawyers submitted a copy of the couple's marriage registration certificate as proof of marriage and the domestic incident report submitted by the Probation Officer corroborated the assault.

Judge S S Salve noted that as it was proven that the couple were married and her in-laws come within the purview of the term 'domestic relationship'. Besides directing the in-laws to pay Rs 1,500 and restraining them from committing domestic violence, he also had a public notice published in the newspaper summoning Vishnu to be present for the next hearing on August 14.

LUDHIANA: Following Kusum Lata's death under mysterious circumstances on Thursday, her in-laws have accused Lata's parents for the death.

Lata used to work as a supervisor in Woman and Child Welfare Department in Mangat village. The police is investigating the case and has sent the body for postmortem and viscera report. The result is awaited to clarify the cause of death. However, sources informed that the primary cause of death was some disease.

Lata's brother Ramesh told that she was suffering for depression following separation from husband Ranjan Kumar and the family. For this, she had been undergoing treatment at Khanna for past some time. On Thursday, when her condition deteriorated, he took her to the DMC hospital for treatment where she died. And when he informed lata's in-laws about the death, they cried foul.

In a similar case, Devender Kumar alias Sonu, a resident of Shimlapuri area, committed suicide when his in-laws charged him of murdering their daughter, Pooja for dowry. Devender and Pooja had tied the nuptial knot following a love affair one-and-half-year-ago. Pooja's parents alleged that Devender murdered their daughter as the couple used to have frequent fights over dowry.

But, Devender's parents denied the allegation and informed that Pooja was operated upon for the stone problem and was not keeping well. Postmortem report of the deceased girl, too, revealed that she died of some disease.

Talking to TOI, a sociologist, said, "Such cases are coming into light because of the misuse of media. It has nothing to do with human psyche. They are using the media to settle their personal vendetta." "People accuse others when they do not have anything else to do. They are misusing media and the laws," said IJS Jaswal, head, department of human development, PAU.

Sharing his view, SSP RK Jaiswal said, "Generally it is a emotional reaction. Seeing their near and dear one's death people come out with such accusations. However, we do not take chances but investigate the matter to find the real reason for the death."

ஆனால், SSP திரு ராகேஷ் அகர்வால் ஆவர்களோ, குற்றம் சுமத்தப்பட்டவரை வெளியே விட்டதில் எந்த முறைகேடும் இல்லை. பெண் வீட்டார், போலீஸை நெருக்க முயல்கின்றனர் என்று கூறினார்.

திரு அகர்வால் " ...குற்றம் சுமத்தப்பட்டவர்கள், தாங்கள் நிரபராதி என்றும், உண்மையை நிலைநாட்ட தங்களுக்கு உதவி வேண்டும் .." என்று கூறினர் என்றார்.

மேலும் SSP கூறியதாவது ..." முதல் நாள் இரவு 10 மணி அளவில் என் வீட்டுக்கு வந்தனர். அவர்களை அடுத்த நாள் அலுவலகம் வரச்சொன்னேன்..ஆனால் அதற்குள்ளே ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் தொடங்கி விட்டனர், ..." என்றார்

Kapurthala: Family of a woman, who had lodged a complaint of harassment against her in-laws , and their supporters including some municipal councillors from various parties, gheraoed the residence of Kapurthala SSP for nearly six hours on Tuesday alleging that police had let off the accused under the influence of a cabinet minister.

However, SSP Rakesh Aggarwal while denying the allegations held that the complainants were trying to put undue pressure on the police and also not cooperating in the investigation.

Inderjit Singh, a resident of Sarabjit Nagar, said his daughter Harleen Kaur married Ravi Preet Sing of Chandigarh on March 1 this year and after some time they started harassing her. On August 28 they tried to kill her and then threw her out of the home. She lodged a complaint with the local police and a case under sections 498A, 406, 307 and 34 of IPC was registered against her husband, father-in-law , mother-in-law and sister-in-law . The protesters alleged the police had taken the accused in custody but later released them under the influence of a cabinet minister. They said when they wanted to meet the SSP on Tuesday he did not entertain them.

SSP Aggarwal said the accused had pleaded that they were ready to face an enquiry and wanted a chance to prove their innocence.

Denying any political pressure, he held that police had asked both the parties to join investigation but the woman's family held they would not see the police in front of the opposite party.

'' They met me at 10 on Monday night at my residence and today also I said they should come to the office but they immediately started a dharna here,'' he said.

சென்னை, செப். 1: சென்னை துரைப்பாக்கத்தில் கள்ளத் தொடர்பு விவகாரத்தால் ஏற்பட்ட தகராறில் ஒருவர் பலியானார். இதுதொடர்பாக 2 பேரை போலீசார் தேடி வருகிறார்கள்.

பழைய மாமல்லபுரம் சாலையில் உள்ள துரைப்பாக்கம் கண்ணகி நகர் அடுக்கு மாடி குடியிப்பில் முதல் மாடியில் வசிப்பவர் செல்வராஜ் (வயது 60). இவர் கூலி வேலை பார்த்து வருகிறார். இவரது மனைவி கலா (வயது 45). இவருக்கும் அதே பகுதியில் இஸ்திரி கடை வைத்திருக்கும் மணி (வயது 50) என்பவருக்கும் கள்ளத் தொடர்பு இருந்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது.

தினமும் இரவு நேரங்களில் கலாவின் வீட்டிற்கு மணி செல்வது வழக்கமாம். இதை பலமுறை செல்வராஜ் தட்டி கேட்டும் கலாவின் கள்ளக் காதல் தொடர்ந்ததாக தெரிகிறது.

இதனால் மணமுடைந்த செல்வராஜ் இவர்களின் கள்ளக் காதல் குறித்து அதே பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த அவருடைய நண்பர் வினோத்திடம் கூறி கண்டிக்க சொன்னாராம்.

இந்நிலையில் நேற்று இரவு கலா வீட்டிற்கு சென்றபோது வினோத்தும் பின் தொடர்ந்து சென்று மணியுடன் வாக்குவாதம் செய்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது. இந்த வாக்குவாதம் கைகளப்பாக மாறியதாம். அப்போது வினோத் மறைத்து வைத்திருந்த கத்தியை எடுத்து மணியை சரமாரியாக தாக்கினாராம்.

அவரை கலா சிகிச்சைக்காக சென்னை அரசு பொது மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்த்தார். அங்கு டாக்டர்கள் தீவிர சிகிச்சை அளித்தும் பலனின்றி மணி உயிரிழந்தார். மணி உயிரிழந்த தகவல் அறிந்ததும் கலாவின் கணவர் செல்வராஜ் மற்றும் அவருடைய நண்பர் வினோத் ஆகியோர் தலைமறைவாகிவிட்டனர்.

சென்னை: சென்னையில் அலுவலகத்தின் 9வது மாடியிலிருந்து குதித்து பெண் சாப்ட்வேர் என்ஜினீயர் தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டார்.

சென்னை தியாகராய நகர் பார்த்தசாரதிபுரம் 2வது தெருவில் வசிக்கும் வெங்கடாசலத்தின் மகள் ஆச்சியம்மை (23). சாப்ட்வேர் என்ஜினியரான இவர் அடையாறி்ல் ஒரு நிறுவனத்தில் பணியாற்றி வந்தார்.

இவரது விருப்பத்தை மீறி திருமணம் செய்து வைக்க பெற்றோர் ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்ததாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது.

இந் நிலையில் நேற்று முன்தினம் பிற்பகல் 2 மணியளவில் அலுவலகத்தில் சோகமாக இருந்த ஆச்சியம்மை, திடீரென்று கட்டிடத்தின் 9வது மாடிக்குச் சென்று அங்கிருந்து கீழே குதித்தார்.

ரத்த வெள்ளத்தில் உயிருக்கு போராடிய அவர் ராயப்பேட்டை அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டார். ஆனால், சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி ஆச்சியம்மை இறந்தார்.

இந்த தற்கொலை சம்பவம் குறித்து கோர்ட்டூர்புரம் போலீசார் விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

மனைவியை தற் கொலைக்கு தூண்டியதாக சமையல் காண்டிராக்டரை போலீசார் கைது செய்தனர்.

தற்கொலை

கோபி நஞ்சகவுண்டன் பாளையத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் சரவணராஜ்குமார். சமையல் காண்டிராக்டர். அவருடைய மனைவி ஜெயசித்ரா (வயது31). இவர்கள் 2 பேரும் காதல் திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டவர்கள்.

இவர்களுக்கு சிவசங்கரி (14), சவுந்தர்யா (8) என்ற 2 மகள்கள் உள்ளனர். இந்த நிலையில் கடந்த சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்பு வீட்டில் தனியாக இருந்த ஜெயசித்ரா தூக்கு போட்டு தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டார். இது குறித்து கோபி போலீசார் முதலில் ஜெயசித்ரா தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டதாக வழக்கு பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தினார்கள்.

இந்த நிலையில் சரவணராஜ்குமாரின் மாமியார் லட்சுமி மற்றும் உறவினர்கள், ஜெயசித்ராவின் சாவில் மர்மம் உள்ளதாக கோபி போலீசில் புகார் அளித்தனர்.

காண்டிராக்டர் கைது

அதன் பேரில் போலீசார் சரவணராஜ்குமாரிடம் விசாரணை நடத்தினார்கள். அப்போது, சரவணராஜ்குமார், மனைவி ஜெயசித்ராவிடம் அடிக்கடி தகராறு செய்து வந்ததாகவும், இதனால் வாழ்க்கையில் வெறுப்படைந்த ஜெயசித்ரா தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டதும் தெரிய வந்தது.

எனவே முதலில் தற்கொலை என்று பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட வழக்கை, ஜெயசித்ராவை சித்ரவதை செய்து தற்கொலைக்கு தூண்டியதாக போலீசார் மாற்றினார்கள்.

அதன் பேரில் போலீசார் ஜெயசித்ராவின் கணவர் சரவணராஜ்குமாரை கைது செய்தனர். பின்னர் அவர் கோபி மாஜிஸ்திரேட்டு விஜயா முன்பு ஆஜர்படுத்தப்பட்டு காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டார்.

இவள் தன் இரண்டாவது கள்ளகாதலனுடன் வாழ்ந்த போது போது, அவளது முதல் கள்ளக்காதலன் வந்து விட்டதால் ஆத்திரமடைந்து, இரண்டாவது கள்ளக்காதலனுடன் சேர்ந்து முதல் கள்ளக்காதலனை கட்டையால் அடித்து கொலை செய்து இருக்கிறாள் !!!

இது என்னவோ அமேரிக்காவிலோ ஆப்பரிக்காவிலோ நடந்து விடவில்லை…. இந்தியாவில், அதுவும் "…தெய்வம் தொழாள் கொழுனன் தொழுதெழுவாள்…" என்று திருவள்ளுவர் சொல்லிப்போன தமிழகத்தில் நடந்துள்ளது !!!!

வடலூர் அருகே கள்ளத்தொடர்பு தகராறில் முதியவர் அடித்து கொலை செய்யப்பட்டார். இந்த கொலை வழக்கில் ஒரு பெண் மற்றும் அவளுடைய காதலனை போலீசார் கைது செய்தனர்..

கருத்து வேறுபாடு

நாகை மாவட்டம் விழுந்தமாவடி அருகே உள்ள மணல்மேடு கிராமத்தை சேர்ந்தவர் ராஜகோபால் இவருடைய மகன் சுப்பிரமணியன் (வயது55) இவர் தனது அக்காள் மகள் தனலட்சுமியை (44) திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டார். இவர்களுக்குள் கருத்துவேறுபாடு ஏற்பட்டதால் கணவன் -மனைவி இருவரும் பிரிந்து வாழ்ந்தார்கள்.. இந்த நிலையில் தனலட்சுமிக்கு, தனபால் என்பவருடன் கள்ளக்காதல் ஏற்பட்டது. அவர்கள் இருவரும் வடலூர் சமுத்துவபுரத்தில் வசித்து வந்தனர்.

அடித்துக்கொலை

இதற்கிடையில் மணல்மேடு கிராமத்தைச்சேர்ந்த ஆதிமூலம் என்பவரின் மகன் முருகையன்(60) என்பவருக்கும் தனலட்சுமிக்கும் ஏற்கனவே கள்ளத்தொடர்பு இருந்து வந்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது.. இந்த நிலையில் சம்பவத்தன்று வடலூரில் உள்ள தனலட்சுமியின் வீட்டுக்கு முருகையன் வந்தார். அப்போது தனலட்சுமி, முருகையனிடம், இங்கு ஏன் வந்தாய்? என கேட்டு அவரை கண்டித்தார். இதனால் அவர்களுக்குள் தகராறு ஏற்பட்டது. அப்போது தனபால், தனலட்சுமி மற்றும் அதே ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த வீரபாண்டி ஆகியோர் முருகையனை கட்டையால் தாக்கினார்கள். இதில் பலத்த காயம் அடைந்த முருகையன் அந்த இடத்திலேயே பரிதாபமாக இறந்தார்.

பெண்-கள்ளக்காதலன் கைது

அதன்பின்னர் தனலட்சுமி, தனபால், வீரபாண்டி ஆகியோர் முருகையன் வாயில் விஷத்தை ஊற்றி, அவருடைய பிணத்தை ஒரு காரில் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு வேளாங்கண்ணிக்கு கொண்டு சென்று ஒரு இடத்தில் பிணத்தை வீசி விட்டு வந்து விட்டார்கள். இது குறித்து கிராம நிர்வாக அதிகாரி கோபாலகிருஷ்ணன் வேளாங்கன்னி போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் புகார் செய்தார்.

இந்த வழக்கை விசாரித்த வேளாங்கண்ணி போலீசார் வடலூர் சமுத்துவபுரத்தை சேர்ந்த தனலட்சுமி, அவருடைய காதலன் தனபால்(35) ஆகியோரை கைது செய்தனர். வீரப்பாண்டி மற்றும் கார் டிரைவரை போலீசார் தேடி வருகிறார்கள்.

இந்த வழக்கை கடலூர் மாவட்ட போலீஸ் சூப்பிரண்டு பிரதீப்குமார் உத்தரவின் பேரில் வடலூர் போலீசார் வழக்குப்பதிவு தொடர்ந்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வரு கிறார்கள்.

சென்னை: தினமலர் வேலூர் பதிப்பின் ஆசிரியர் ராகவன் மற்றும் பதிப்பாளர் சத்தியமூர்த்தி ஆகியோரைக் கைது செய்ய போலீஸாருக்கு சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றம் தடை விதித்துள்ளது.

வேலூர் பதிப்பு தினமலரின் இலவச இணைப்பில் நபிகள் நாயகம் குறித்த கார்ட்டூன் இடம் பெற்றிருந்தது. இது பெரும் சர்ச்சையை ஏற்படுத்தியது. இந்த கார்ட்டூனைக் கண்டித்து வேலூர் தினமலர் அலுவலகம் முன்பு இஸ்லாமிய அமைப்புகள் சார்பில் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

இந் நிலையில், ஆசிரியர் ராகவன் மற்றும் பதிப்பாளர் சத்தியமூர்த்தி ஆகியோர் முன் ஜாமீன் கோரி சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் மனு தாக்கல் செய்தனர்.

இந்த வழக்கு நீதிபதி ரகுபதி முன்பு விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது. செப்டம்பர் 5ம் தேதி வரை இருவரையும் கைது செய்ய போலீஸாருக்கு தடை விதித்து உத்தரவிட்டு வழக்கை அன்றைக்கு தள்ளி வைத்தார்.

முன்னதாக இஸ்லாமிய அமைப்பு ஒன்றின் சார்பில் வேலூர் போலீஸில், ராகவன், சத்தியமூர்த்தி மீது புகார் தரப்பட்டது.

இதை தங்களது மனுவில் சுட்டிக் காட்டிய ராகவனும், சத்தியமூர்த்தியும், இது இணையதளங்களிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்ட கார்ட்டூன். குறிப்பிட்ட மதத்தினரின் உணர்வுகளையோ அல்லது நம்பிக்கைகளையோ புண்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் இது வெளியிடப்படவில்லை என்று தெரிவித்திருந்தனர்.

எதிர் கட்சியில், ஹில்லாரி கிளிண்டனை துணை ஜனாதிபதியாக ஒபாமா தேர்ந்தெடுப்பார் என்று கருதப்பட்டது. ஆனால் ஒபாமாவோ வயது முதிர்ந்த பிடனை … ஒரு வயது முதிர்ந்த ஆணை… உதவி ஜனாதிபதியாக தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார். இது பெண் வாக்காளர்களிடையே , குறிப்பாக ஹில்லாரி ஆதரவாளர்களிடையே கோவத்தையும் குழப்பத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தியது

தனி நபர் சுதந்திரம், பெண்விடுதலை, நவீனத்துவம் ஆகியவை அமேரிக்காவில் எந்த அளவு குடும்ப சீர்குலைவை கொண்டு வந்துள்ளது என்பதுக்கு இது ஒரு எடுத்துக்காட்டு . பழமைவாதிகள் வீட்டில், திருமணமாகாத ஒரு 17 வதுப் பெண் கறுவுற்று இருக்கிறாள்.

பல பயனீட்டாளர்கள் முதலில் திறப்பது உலாவியையே (browser). இங்கேயே அவர்கள் மனதில் இடம் பிடிக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூகிள் முயலுவதாய் தெரிகிறது. தேடுவான் (search engine) மட்டுமல்லாமல், ஈ மெயில், யூ டியூப், பிகாசா போன்ற கூகிள் முயற்சிகளில் இதுவும் ஒன்று

கூகிள் குரோமில் சில, பல புதுமைகைகளை செய்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

ஆனால் !!!! கூகிள் குரோமில் நேரடியாக தமிழ் யுனிகோடில் தட்டெழுத முடியுமா என முயன்று பார்த்தேன் .

யாஹூ மெயிலில் இருந்தும், தேடுவானில் இருந்தும் தமிழ் யுனிக்கோடில் ஈ கலப்பை (Tavultesoft Keyman) கொண்டு தட்டெழுத இயலாததால், MS Wordல் இதே ஈ கலப்பையை உபயோகித்து தமிழ் யுனிக்கோட்டில் தட்டெழுதி வெட்டி ஒட்டி இதை பிரசுரிக்கிறேன்

ஆக மொத்தம் தமிழில் தட்டெழுத மைக்குரோசாப்டு காலில் விழ வேண்டி இருக்குது …. !!ஹூம்….

For those like me, accustomed to other browsers and searching for the menu bar or shortcusts in Google Chrome, here is some help

Window and tab shortcuts (in Google Chrome)

Ctrl+N	Open a new window
Ctrl+Shift+N	Open a new window in incognito mode
Press Ctrl, and click a link	Open link in a new tab
Press Shift, and click a link	Open link in a new window
Alt+F4	Close current window
Ctrl+T	Open a new tab
Ctrl+Shift+T	Reopen the last tab you've closed. Google Chrome remembers the last 10 tabs you've closed.
Drag link to tab	Open link in specified tab
Drag link to space between tabs	Open link in a new tab in the specified position on the tab strip
Ctrl+1 throughCtrl+8	Switch to the tab at the specified position number. The number you press represents a position on the tab strip.
Ctrl+9	Switch to the last tab
Ctrl+Tab orCtrl+PgDown	Switch to the next tab
Ctrl+Shift+Tab orCtrl+PgUp	Switch to the previous tab
Ctrl+W or Ctrl+F4	Close current tab or pop-up
Alt+Home	Open your homepage
Ctrl+O, then select file	Open a file from your computer in Google Chrome

Address bar shortcuts (in Google Chrome) Do one of the following actions in the address bar:

Type a search term	Perform a search using your default search engine
Type the part of the web address that's between 'www.' and '.com', then press Ctrl+Enter	Add www.and .com to your input in the address bar and open the web address
Type a search engine keyword or URL, pressTab, then type a search term	Perform a search using the search engine associated with the keyword or the URL. Google Chrome prompts you to press Tab if it recognizes the search engine you're trying to use.
F6 or Ctrl+L or Alt+D	Highlight content in the web address area
Type a web address, then press Alt+Enter	Open your web address in a new tab

Highlight content, then press Ctrl+C	Copy content to the clipboard

Highlight content in a text field, then pressCtrl+X or Shift+Delete	Delete the content and copy it to the clipboard

Menu Bar in Google Chrome : I could NOT see the menu bar on Google Chrome but there is a page menu next to the address / location bar. Clicking on the page bar opens some Google Chrome menus

மகளிர் சுய உதவிக்குழுவுக்கு சொந்தமான ரூ. 11/4 லட்சத்தை மோசடி செய்ததாக தம்பதி மீது போலீசார் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரித்து வருகின்றனர்.

மகளிர் சுய உதவிக்குழு

மதுரை அனுப்பானடி பகுதியில் உள்ள உப்புக்கார தெருவை சேர்ந்தவர் பாண்டி. இவரது மனைவி சங்கரேசுவரி. இவர் அந்த பகுதியில் சிவசக்தி என்ற பெயரில் 20 பேர் கொண்ட மகளிர் சுய உதவிக்குழுவை உருவாக்கினார். இதையடுத்து குழுவில் இடம் பெற்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் மாதந்தோறும் சந்தா பணம் செலுத்தி வந்தனர். குழுவில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு உறுப்பினருக்கும் சுழற்சி முறையில் மாதம் ஒரு முறை குறிப்பிட்ட தொகை கடனாக வழங்கப்பட்டு வசூலிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

ரூ. 1 1/4 லட்சம் மோசடி

இந்த நிலையில் கடந்த சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு ராஜாத்தி (வயது39) என்ற உறுப்பினருக்கு ரூ.1 லட்சத்து 35 ஆயிரம் கடன் தொகை வழங்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால் அந்த பணத்தை அவர் முறையாக திருப்பி செலுத்தவில்லை.

சங்கரேசுவரி மற்றும் குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் பணத்தை பலமுறை கேட்டு பார்த்தும் அவர் கொடுக்கவில்லை. அவர் தனது கணவர் மணியுடன் சேர்ந்து பணத்தை மோசடி செய்துவிட்டது தெரியவந்தது. இது குறித்து சங்கரேசுவரி மதுரை தெப்பக்குளம் போலீசில் புகார் செய்தார். அதன்பேரில் போலீசார் கணவன்,மனைவி இருவர் மீது வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.
