Rave party: Customs officials, bar girls get bail

Pune, Aug 28: The Mumbai-based 22 Customs officials and 11 bar girls, arrested at Khandala hill station, were released on bail by a court here, officials said on Thursday.

They were produced in a court at Wadgaon Maval near here after their overnight arrest.

The officers and the girls had been picked up by police in a raid when they allegedly indulged in obscenities at a resort, Taj Cottage, and danced in an inebriated state to high pitch of music late in the night.

Wads of currency notes were seen being hurled at the bar girls who gyrated to the beat of drum in gay abandon, police sources said.

Around 40 persons, including the drivers of the vehicles who came from Mumbai and three managers of the party too were arrested by police in the swoop.
